Fuji Kogyo is a manufacturer based in Japan, they make premier rod components including guides, reel seats, and wrapping threads. Their Business had started since 1951, being one of the oldest rod component companies, which is why a lot of high end rod and custom rod companies prefer Fuji components due to their industrial reputation. Fuji has 6 tiers of ring materials including Concept O, Fazlite, Alconite, SiC, SiN (Not Common), and Torzite; each tiers are made for different price levels of rods with Concept O being the cheapest with hard compressed Aluminum Oxide inserts with stainless steel frame while Torzite built with titanium frame placed at the highest. In 2009, Fuji engineers invented a modern guide configuration concept called the Fuji K-Series which uses specialized guide frames to better shed line loops and further reduce line tangle. Making them superior toward modern, medium and high end fishing rods, Other than K-Series, Fuji also have a series of proven, traditional frame designs, making them stand out toward tackle companies and rod builders who want to have a more traditional look on their rods.

SeaGuide

SeaGuide is a premium rod components company established in China and came to business in 1997, making it relatively newer compared to Fuji. This is a reason why they make components, especially guide frame designs that are more modern and futuristic, while they are often lighter on average than Fuji’s. The pricing on SeaGuide Guides are usually cheaper compared to Fuji, making them more suitable for rods in a lower price range. But they also manufacture high end guides with more premier inserts and titanium frames. Seaguide offers a lot more broader guide inserts than Fuji that are specialized depending on the guide series, including zirconia which Fuji does not offer. However, most anglers can agree that Fuji did a much better job at  quality control and consistency than SeaGuide with their frame being much sturdier and their inserts.
